John Cena has not been on WWE TV since January 6 and it has been revealed what the 16-time world champion has been up to in recent weeks.
Cena is currently on his retirement tour which will run throughout 2025 as the 47-year-old puts a bow on his in-ring career. Cena kicked off his retirement tour during the WWE Raw premiere on Netflix, declaring himself for the Royal Rumble.
Cena has been missing from WWE TV ever since, though, and PWInsider has reported the former WWE Champion has been in Budapest, Hungary filming the upcoming Matchbox movie.
Matchbox is a movie by Apple Original Films and Mattel Films inspired by Mattel's die-cast toy vehicle line. Cena is the star of the movie.
John Cena has primarily been an actor since he went part-time with WWE in 2017. The 16-time world champion notably portrays Peacemaker in the TV series of the same name and The Suicide Squad.
Cena is one of the favourites to win the Royal Rumble and his odds only increased after his reported WrestleMania 41 plans were revealed.
