Torrie Wilson was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2019, after a career which saw her become one of the biggest names in the women’s division in WCW and WWE.
During Wilson’s WWE run, she engaged in a major feud with Sable with the two clashing in 2003, before posing together in Playboy in 2004. However, Wilson revealed during a virtual signing with The Asylum Wrestling Store that she was not allowed to mention Sable during her HOF speech:
“You’re not even allowed to mention her [Sable] name on… she was — I mentioned her name in my Hall of Fame speech and right before, they told me, ‘Oh, by the way, you’re not allowed to mention her name. Good luck seeing her. You’re gonna have to go up Timbuktu in Minnesota [to get Sable’s autograph]”
Despite Sable being married to WWE Champion Brock Lesnar, her relationship with WWE hasn’t always been great, with Sable quitting the company in 1999 and subsequently launching a $110 million sexual harassment lawsuit, before the two sides settled out of court.
Sable would return to WWE in 2003 before leaving again in 2004, although this time the departure was said to have been on good terms.
