Triple H winking on WWE: Unreal

One man has been conspicuous by his absence from several recent WWE shows, none other than Chief Content Officer Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque, the man who has been at the helm of Gorilla Position ever since Vince McMahon departed from leading WWE’s creative team. He was once again absent during last night’s Saturday Night’s Main Event show.

It was reported by both PWInsider and Fightful Select that Triple H was not backstage at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah last night, though he was present at Friday Night SmackDown the night before. Fightful Select has noted that Bruce Prichard was in the same boat, whereas PWInsider explained that they were told Bruce Prichard was actually leading the broadcast in which fans saw a new World Heavyweight Champion crowned in CM Punk, and new WWE Women’s Champion crowned in Jade Cargill, making it a notable show.

It was reported a few weeks ago that there was some concern in WWE over Triple H’s string of absences, with worry that his political priorities could negatively affect the company, though there were conflicting opinions on this topic.
