Triple H Comments On "Competition" From AEW & NJPW For WWE NXT UK This Weekend

NXT UK: TakeOver: Cardiff takes place tomorrow night!

This weekend, WWE NXT UK will be hosting its second-ever TakeOver event from Cardiff, Wales.

You can watch the show live on the WWE Network from 7 pm BST tomorrow (Saturday, August 31).

Ahead of the event, Triple H hosted a conference call that Cultaholic was kindly invited to participate in.

During the call, The Game commented on what many are calling WRESTLEDAY 2019, with both AEW and NJPW hosting pay-per-view events of their own.

"There is a lot of competition over this weekend, I mean that in a positive way that there is a lot to be offered, there is a lot to watch," said Triple H.

"I can say without a shadow of a doubt there isn’t anybody anywhere else that I would trade for the people on this roster, I 100 per cent believe in them that this will be the event of the weekend by far. I’m excited for them to go have the opportunity to show the world who they are and to show everybody that they are NXT because that is the standard-bearer of what they do.

"I'm very excited to get to Cardiff and very excited for this event. The NXT UK brand has just been tearing it up, the shows have been spectacular, the talent has really come into their own in the brief period of time this brand has been going and I’m excited to see it taken to another level and to see sort of a new crop of talent kick in here. I know it’s a very competitive weekend but I’m very excited to get this show off the blocks and I think that NXT UK brand is going to be showing the world it’s a brand to watch."
