Triple H, Vince McMahon

NXT's weekly WWE Network show is moving to the USA Network for a live two-hour broadcast from Wednesday, September 18 - two weeks before All Elite Wrestling's weekly show begins on TNT.

Because of the move to a bonafide television network, fans around the world presumed Vince McMahon would be taking up a more hands-on role with the yellow and gold brand.

However, in an interview with

talkSPORT

, Triple H set the record straight and told us things regarding Vince and NXT some fans around the world might not have been expecting to hear: "In simple terms, he's [Vince McMahon] not involved [with NXT]. Yeah, he's gonna have say in some things like the brand sits and the marketing of it with USA and clearly, whatever he wants to do, at the end of the day. But at this point in time, he's basically said, 'Go make this thing a success.'

The Game then opened up regarding his feelings about his father in law and the rumours that have circulated recently about his involvement with the new NXT on USA: "It's funny the small-mindedness of it, people don't give Vince credit for being the businessman that he is. When people talk about him, as a businessman, there are so many crazy misconceptions.

"The truth is, all of what we're doing in this business is here because of him. He took a failing industry, so to speak, in the '80s and turned it into a global phenomenon when nobody else had the foresight to do it. People look at it where it is today, and you hear them say negative things, and it's like, really? We signed billion-dollar deals with USA and Fox. I'm not sure that it's crumbling. [Vince] is also smart enough to understand the things that we do and where they go and how and the pieces of it."
