Triple H recently appeared on Andrew Schulz' FLAGRANT podcast and took aim at online criticism, explaining his belief that it isn't "real life" and preferring to trust live crowd reactions.

The WWE CCO explained:

"Here’s the beautiful thing about our world: the internet is not real life, and the bitching and the f***ing complaining that is on there is not real life. You could read the internet and it’ll sound like this thing is dead.

"I’ll use Cody as the example. ‘Cody’s already jumped the shark, he’s dead as a babyface.’ Really? ‘I don’t know. I’m in an arena with 10-15,000 people every night going apeshit for me, selling the most merchandise.’ But sure, whatever you want to say on the internet, that’s the golden rule."

Triple H has expressed similar sentiments previously, including as head of NXT in 2021 when he criticised a perceived desire for fans to spoil storyline developments before they occur.

The airing of the podcast episode comes days before WrestleMania 41, which takes place this weekend and is set to be headlined by the following matches:

Night 1 - Roman Reigns vs. CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins

Night 2 - Cody Rhodes (c) vs. John Cena - Undisputed WWE Championship
