Triple Threat WWE Women's Title Match Set For WWE Fastlane

Iyo Sky will defend her championship in a triple threat

The build to WWE’s upcoming Fastlane premium live event in a week’s time has certainly been a slow one, with WWE only just announcing its third match for the show on this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

There have been several women gunning for Iyo Sky’s WWE Women’s Championship, and her first premium live event defense will see her in multi-woman action. On SmackDown, Charlotte Flair defeated Bayley in a singles match, and a brawl ensued following the bell in which Damage CTRL, Flair, and Asuka battled it out.

After Damage CTRL retreated, Asuka cut a promo in Japanese. Bayley, not knowing what was said, accepted a challenge for a triple threat involving Sky, Flair, and Asuka at Fastlane, much to the bewilderment of Sky, who looked perplexed at Bayley and said that Asuka had delivered a promo about something completely different. Either way though, the match was made official, and Sky will defend her WWE Women’s Title gold against Flair and Asuka at Fastlane 2023.
