Trish Stratus Reveals Her Favourite Match She Wrestled In

Trish Stratus has had multiple notable matches over the course of her career, and many fans will point to her historic RAW main event against Lita in 2004 as her best. This match is a favourite for many, and in fact it was also the favourite of Stratus’ too for many years… that was until she returned to the ring for a longer run in 2023. 

Stratus turned heel in 2023 and kickstarted a feud with Becky Lynch, resulting in a multi-match program that culminated at the Payback 2023 premium live event inside a Streel Cage. The match received plaudits for its physicality and intensity, and Stratus revealed in an interview with Chris Sumlin on Hot 97.5 that this match was now her favourite of her whole career. 

"So for many years, my go-to answer was just the main event with Lita. For so many reasons, obviously, what it meant for me to do that moment at that time period, was obviously epic. Doing it with my bestie was obviously a moment. What it's meant for today, like looking back, and we had no idea, by the way, when we were doing it, what it would turn into, or how we'd be still talking about it [or that it] began the sort of the foundation of what was to be built. But since then, I had a chance to go back and dabble a little bit. I had a little certain Steel Cage Match with Becky Lynch."

Stratus returned to the ring once again in 2025, competing at both the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber events.
