Trish Stratus Worked Injured At WWE WrestleMania 39

Trish Stratus worked WWE WrestleMania 39 whilst injured

Trish Stratus had a WrestleMania to remember earlier this month, with the WWE Hall of Famer winning a six-woman tag match with Lita and Becky Lynch against Damage CTRL at night one of WrestleMania 39 on April 1.

However, it seems that Stratus was not 100% during the match, with the multi-time WWE Women’s Champion revealing on Busted Open Radio that she worked the match hurt:

“I had a few obstacles, I had a partially torn hamstring, by the way, nobody knew about that, but it was just like, 'WrestleMania, let's just go!’” said Stratus. “I did not train as much. I'm usually in there, like, the minute I find out there's a match, I'm in there like every day, I'm putting my kids to bed and I'm in the ring until midnight, this is what I do. And this time I had this injury so I was a little unsure going in but, man, there's something about feeling at home. Apparently, it's like riding a bike, as you guys know, when you get back in there your body's like, 'I got this, just do your thing' and it just flows.”

Stratus’ match on Mania 39 night one was her first since her loss to Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam 2019, and despite being injured at Mania, Stratus worked Raw a couple of weeks later, dropping the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships to Raquel Gonzalez and Liv Morgan after subbing in for Lita.
