Top Free Agent Hoping To Speak With Tony Khan Soon

A major free agent is seemingly intent on making appearances for All Elite Wrestling. 

Dark Puroresu Flowsion revealed Kota Ibushi has told him that he has been in talks with Kenny Omega and The Golden Star is hoping to get in touch with AEW CEO Tony Khan soon. 

They tweeted: "Kota Ibushi told me him & Kenny Omega have been talking recently & hopes to talk with Tony soon: 'Recently, Kenny and I have been talking about things other than games. For example, are your knees okay? Or is your shoulder okay? Also I hope to be in contact with Tony soon.'"

Kota Ibushi has hinted in recent weeks that he wants to go to AEW, mentioning the home of Kenny Omega and others as his top choice for a promotion. The former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion also expressed his willingness to team with Hangman Page, The Young Bucks, and Kenny Omega in some capacity at AEW All In on August 27. Should teaming with Page not be possible, Ibushi wants to go one-on-one with the former AEW World Champion.

Ibushi has been a free agent since his New Japan Pro-Wrestling contract expired in February. He returned to the ring over WrestleMania 39 weekend after 18 months out of action with a serious shoulder injury, defeating "Speedball" Mike Bailey at Bloodsport and Joey Janela at Spring Break 7.
