Two Former IMPACT Wrestling Stars Having WWE Tryouts This Week
New hopefuls at the Performance Center...
Two former IMPACT Wrestling stars are at the WWE Performance Center for tryouts this week. Per f4wonline.com, the two stars in question are Laurel Van Ness and Robbie E. The pair have been featured on the wwerecruit Instagram account, going through various drills and coaching sessions.
Ness, perhaps known better to some by her real name Chelsea Green these days, left IMPACT Wrestling for pastures new in January after dropping the Knockouts title to Allie. She had ascended through the ranks to become one of the more popular acts on IMPACT, taking on the role of the bride in distress after her wedding ceremony to Braxton Sutter turned sour. Her week at the PC also marks a return to WWE of sorts as she was a part of the 2015 series of Tough Enough, finishing fourth overall.
Former X Division Champion Robbie E was more of a mainstay in TNA/IMPACT, turning out for the company over a seven-year spell. His week at the Performance Center can also be looked at as a return to WWE, as back in 2005, he appeared on an episode of SmackDown under the name Robbie Eckos in a losing effort to Matt Morgan. Robbie is also known for being the man Edge attacked during a skit where the Rated R Superstar was mocking Nature Boy Ric Flair. The Platinum Poppa left IMPACT last September.
So far, these are the only two names to be confirmed as appearing at the latest set of tryouts, with more names surfacing an inevitability.
