Two Matches Set For 9/24 WWE SmackDown

Including an Intercontinental title match

Two matches have been announced for this coming Friday's episode of WWE SmackDown in Philadelphia, one of them for championship gold.

Intercontinental champion Shinsuke Nakamura will put the title on the line next Friday against the man he won the belt from on August 13, Apollo Crews.

On Friday night's SmackDown, Nakamura and Rick Boogs were celebrating Boogs' victory over Robert Roode when they were attacked by Crews and Commander Azeez. Crews took the mic and said that Nakamura had made a mockery of the IC belt, and therefore demanded a title match.

Also announced for next week's SmackDown is a singles match pitting Liv Morgan against Zelina Vega.

Morgan and Vega were on opposite sides of a tag team match Friday, in which Morgan and Toni Storm defeated Vega and Carmella via countout. Carmella took a walk after Morgan smashed her face in the middle turnbuckle, and claimed that Morgan had broken her nose as a result of the move.

A match between Morgan and Carmella has been announced for Extreme Rules on September 26 in Columbus, OH.
