Two More Matches Set For Next Week's WWE SmackDown

Two matches have been announced for the June 23 SmackDown

Next week’s June 23 edition of SmackDown has gotten a few more things added to the card following this week’s show, and one of the new matches could have major implications for the upcoming Money in the Bank PPV.

After rising tensions have been appearing within the Damage CTRL faction, things have escalated to a whole new level as IYO SKY accepted a match on Bayley’s behalf in which the former multi-time women’s champion will put her Money in the Bank ladder match spot on the line against Shotzi.

Also announced for next week is a rematch between the newly called up Cameron Grimes and Baron Corbin. A few weeks back, Grimes’ debut match on SmackDown saw him hit one move and defeat Corbin in seconds. This week, Corbin made his need for revenge clear as he attacked Grimes from behind backstage. Corbin will be hoping to gain some momentum as he looks to challenge Carmelo Hayes for the NXT Championship too at some point soon.

The updated card for next week’s SmackDown is as follows;

  • Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler (c) vs. Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn (c) - Unficiation Match For Both WWE & NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships
  • Cameron Grimes vs. Baron Corbin
  • Bayley vs. Shotzi - Bayley’s MITB Spot On The Line
