Two Title Matches Set For Next Week's SmackDown
The SummerSlam go-home show will feature two title matches
Next week’s SmackDown serves as the go-home show for WWE SummerSlam 2024, and it will be a notable show featuring more than just the last minute build to the premium live event. It has been announced that two championship matches will be taking place on the blue brand.
After defeating The Street Profits at the end of a gruelling tag team gauntlet match, The Bloodline pairing of Jacob Fatu & Tama Tonga became the new number one contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championships, and they will not have to wait long for their title match. Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa of DIY will be putting their WWE Tag Team Titles up for grabs next week.
The WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships will also be on the line too, as tensions have been building by the week between the champions Isla Dawn & Alba Fyre and the former champions of Jade Cargill & Bianca Belair. A brawl between the teams broke out of the most recent episode of SmackDown to set up this title match.
Also announced for next week’s SmackDown is a Cleveland homecoming for Logan Paul.
