Two Title Matches Set For WWE NXT Heatwave
Two big title matches set for next major NXT show
The next big NXT TV special will be called Heatwave and will take place on Tuesday, August 16.
It was announced last night that Bron Breakker will defend his NXT Title against JD McDonagh at Heatwave, while Mandy Rose will defend her NXT Women's Title against Zoey Stark.
Breakker told McDonagh on last night's show that he would defend the title against him in three weeks, and that there would be a 'summit' on next week's show to make things official. JD and Bron then exchanged headbutts to end the segment.
Meanwhile, Stark beat Rose's Toxic Attraction teammate Gigi Dolin on last night's show. Stark was attacked by Cora Jade afterwards, with Roxanne Perez running in for the save. Stark has been number one contender since winning a Battle Royal on last week's show.
Incidentally, Heatwave (spelled Heat Wave) was the name of a summer event that ECW ran between 1994 and 2000.
