Tyler Bate Not Expected To Return From Injury Until 2025

No action for Tyler Bate until 2025

Tyler Bate recently suffered a pec injury during a recent appearance on WWE NXT, and after undergoing surgery, it looks as though the former NXT UK Champion will not be returning to the ring until 2025.

Bate underwent surgery in early July - several days after suffering the injury - with New Catch Republic tag partner Pete Dunne turning heel on Sheamus as part of a solo run whilst Bate is out of action. Per a report from Fightful Select, plans to have Dunne feud with Sheamus were made shortly after Bate’s injury diagnosis, with it said that WWE don’t expect Bate back in 2024.

The injury occurred when Bate was tagging with Dunne against the team of Tank Ledger and Hank Walker on the July 2 episode of WWE NXT, with the seeds of Dunne’s heel turn against Sheamus planted a few days later on the July 8 edition of WWE Raw.

Raw lead announcer Michael Cole initially stated that Bate would be out of action ‘for a bit’, but that ‘bit’ now looks to be at least six months at the very least.
