WWE’s Tyler Bate has undergone surgery on a torn pec, with the New Catch Republic star having suffered the injury on July 2.
Bate was injured during a match with partner Pete Dunne against Hank Walker and Tank Ledger on NXT, with WWE Raw play by play commentator Michael Cole revealing on the July 8 Raw that Bate will be out of action ‘for a bit’.
The former NXT UK Champion shared an update to Instagram, posting a selfie of himself with his arm in a sling with the following caption:
“Tore my left pectoral major & tendon off the bone last week at NXT. Surgery yesterday was successful and all has been put back where it belongs. I’ll be gone for some time while I recover, try not to miss me too much. I’m in good spirits and looking forward to seeing you all again soon, lots of love, b i g s t r o n g b o i ❤️”
Bate has been with WWE since 2016, finally receiving his long-awaited main roster call-up in late 2023 to resume his partnership with Pete Dunne.
