Card is subject to change, and so are winners with WWE reportedly changing the planned outcome of a major SummerSlam 2025 match ahead of bell time.

As seen during night one of the first ever two-night SummerSlam event, Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul teamed together to defeat the team of Randy Orton and Jelly Roll, with Paul getting the win after pinning Jelly Roll after a frog splash.

The result was a surprise given how WWE tends to treat celebrity guest wrestlers, and it seems the result originally favoured Orton and Roll with a report from Fightful Select ahead of SummerSlam suggesting that the face team were planned to win the match ‘throughout much of the week’.

It’s not been revealed as to when WWE decided upon having Paul and McIntyre go over, and it remains to be seen if Jelly Roll will wrestle future bouts in a WWE ring, with the country music star having legitimately impressed WWE officials with his work ethic and preparation for his SummerSlam outing. It was earlier reported that WWE were hopeful of having Jelly Roll back in 2026.
