Tyler Bate's Return & More Set For WWE NXT

Former WWE NXT UK Champion Tyler Bate will return to NXT on the January 17 episode. 

Bate's upcoming return was confirmed on the special New Year's Evil episode of NXT on January 10. The Big Strong Boi last featured on NXT in September of 2022 when he lost to JD McDonagh in a singles match. 

Bate was previously a top star on NXT UK but WWE shuttered the brand in August of last year. Several other former NXT UK talents have made their way to NXT, with Mark Coffey, Joe Coffey, and Wolfgang of Gallus returning to the developmental brand on January 10. Stevie Turner will also make her NXT debut soon following a hype video on Tuesday's show. 

Other former NXT UK talents like Ilja Dragunov have yet to resurface following their initial NXT runs in 2022. 

Wolfgang and Mark Coffey will be in action against Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen next week, resuming their rivalry. Gallus were previously written off TV with a storyline suspension following a Pub Rules Match loss to their fellow former NXT UK Tag Team Champions. 

Also announced for January 17 is Apollo Crews and Axiom vs. Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams.
