Tyrus Forced To Retire After Loss To EC3 At NWA 75

Tyrus is done inside the squared circle following NWA 75

Tyrus' in-ring career is over.

EC3 defeated Tyrus in the Bull Rope Match main event of NWA 75 on Sunday to capture the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship, with the added stipulation that Tyrus would retire if he lost the contest.

The match ended Tyrus' title reign at 289 days. The former Funkasaurus won the belt back in November 2022 at Hard Times 3 from Trevor Murdoch in a Three-Way that also included Matt Cardona.

Tyrus' in-ring career began back in 2006 after he signed a developmental deal with WWE. He spent several years with WWE, including two years as the 'Funkasaurus' Brodus Clay from 2012 until his release in 2014. Tyrus then performed for TNA Wrestling on and off between 2014 and 2018. The FOX news analyst has been a part of the National Wrestling Alliance since 2021.

EC3's win wasn't the only title change at NWA 75 night two. Kenzie Page defeated Kamille to win the NWA World Women's Title she had held for 813 days, while Kylie Page and Ela Envy won the NWA World Women's Tag Team Titles. On the pre-show, Talos and Daisy Kill captured the NWA United States Tag Team Titles from Anthony Andrews and AJ Cazana.
