UFC's Michael Chandler Appears On WWE Raw, Calls Out Conor McGregor

Michael Chandler mentions Conor McGregor on WWE Raw

UFC crossed over to WWE on the February 19 edition of Monday Night Raw.

WWE ring announcer Samantha Irvin revealed during the show that Michael Chandler was at ringside, introducing him as a UFC lightweight star. Chandler then challenged Conor McGregor to a future fight, saying: "You are in the presence of the most entertaining UFC fighter on the planet. Now there's a man in Ireland that's been making me wait for way too long and there's one dude on my mind... Conor McGregor, get your candy a** back in the octagon."

There was speculation that Conor McGregor might fight Michael Chandler at UFC 300 but McGregor seemingly won't be back in UFC until the Autumn of 2024. There were briefly fears the fight might take place at WrestleMania 40 but McGregor not being back until later in the year would seemingly rule that out. Conor McGregor has not fought in UFC since July of 2021 when he lost to Dustin Poirier.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Michael Chandler is a "big pro wrestling fan."

The cross-promotion between WWE and UFC comes after TKO formed a five-year live event partnership with OCVIBE to hold three WWE and three UFC events at Anaheim's Honda Center through 2028. Raw emanated from the Honda Center on Monday night. UFC 298 took place in the same building on Saturday.
