Ultimo Dragon To Face Super Crazy In 2022


Two lucha libre legends will go one on one next year.

Expo Lucha - the largest lucha libre convention in the world - announced on Friday that Ultimo Dragon and Super Crazy will face off on night one of their 2022 convention from Philadelphia's 2300 Arena. The convention will take place on June 11 and June 12, 2022. 

"Night 1: Under the Influence (of Lucha Libre) There are a select group of superstars who have had successful careers in the U.S. & Mexico & Japan. On June 11th at the @2300Arena 2 will go head to head - @IslasSupercrazy vs. Ultimo Dragon!" Expo Lucha tweeted.

Both men remain active in professional wrestling today with Ultimo Dragon competing regularly in Dragon Gate alongside his role as a senior advisor. Super Crazy also regularly performs on the North American independent wrestling scene and he is currently competing in All Japan Pro Wrestling with Tajiri in the promotion's Real World Tag League tournament. 

Other matches announced for Expo Lucha include Black Taurus & Damian 666 vs. Psychosis and a mystery partner, and Laredo Kid vs. Dragon Lee.
