Upcoming WWE NXT UK TV Tapings Cancelled

Large venues remain closed to the public...

The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has caused major disruption to NXT UK. WWE's fourth brand hasn't held TV tapings since March 7 in Coventry, England and NXT TakeOver: Dublin was postponed from April 26 to October 25. Episodes of the show are still airing on the WWE Network as the company is broadcasting past matches with context provided by Andy Shepherd in wrap-around segments.

NXT UK's next set of tapings were scheduled for July 24 and July 25 at the Braehead Arena in Glasgow, Scotland, but the arena announced yesterday the events have been cancelled.

They wrote on their website: "NXT UK Live events scheduled to take place on Friday, July 24 and Saturday, July 25 at Braehead Arena, Glasgow, have been cancelled. Ticketholders will be contacted by their ticket providers shortly."

The events were ultimately cancelled because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The United Kingdom has recently eased restrictions, but people are still restricted from meeting others from another household indoors and large venues remain closed to members of the public.
