Update On AEW Plans For MJF Vs. Jay White
MJF vs. Jay White has been teased by AEW
The September 27 edition of All Elite Wrestling Dynamite saw MJF valiantly agree to defend the ROH World Tag Team Championships on his own at WrestleDream on October 1, before the ‘Salt of the Earth’ was confronted by Bullet Club Gold leader Jay White.
The two would go back and forth on the mic, and later in the broadcast White was assaulted by several people, including someone in MJF’s devil mask. With MJF already in action at WrestleDream, the question is when are AEW going to run MJF vs. White?
In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer suggests that AEW could add an AEW World Championship match between the two at the last minute, otherwise WrestleDream would be the second straight AEW PPV without a world title bout.
What Meltzer is sure of is that MJF vs. White is definitely going to happen at some point, with either the special Title Tuesday edition of Dynamite on October 10 or Full Gear on November 18 likely destinations for a potential title match between the two.
