Update On Candice LeRae's WWE NXT Contract Situation Reportedly Emerges

With Johnny Gargano looking like he is departing WWE following the expiration of his NXT deal this week, questions have been asked regarding the contratual status of his wife, Candice LeRae.

According to Fightful Select, LeRae's WWE deal was originally meant to expire during the Spring of 2022. 

WWE have been known to freeze their talents' contracts during periods of inactivity however, notably when wrestlers are off with long-term injuries, and LeRae is currently on paid maternity leave from the promotion. However, the report indicates that the subject of adding an extension to LeRae's deal has not been internally considered as of yet. 

There have also been no internal discussions of offering LeRae a new contract as of yet, since WWE tends to wait until a deal is much closer to its expiration date before broaching the topic.

LeRae continued to work on NXT TV during her pregnancy, featuring in several segments with Indi Hartwell and The Way prior to the group disbanding. She was seen in attendance this week at NXT, appearing in the ringside area following the show alongside Gargano.
