Update On Charlotte Flair Being Written Off WWE TV

Charlotte Flair was written off TV in an injury angle at WrestleMania Backlash

Ronda Rousey is now a two-time women’s champion in WWE, after defeating Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Title at WrestleMania Backlash 2022.

Rousey won the title in an ‘I Quit’ match on Sunday’s PPV, with Kayla Braxton later revealing that Flair had suffered a ‘fractured radius’ during the match and would be out of action for an undetermined period of time.

A report from Fightful Select has potentially shed some more light on Flair being written off TV, reporting that WWE creative were told ahead of time that Flair would indeed be taking time off, although at this point it’s not certain if Flair’s absence will begin immediately, or if she will address her loss on this week’s upcoming edition of SmackDown.

Flair’s latest title run cemented her as a 13-time women’s champion in WWE, with six runs apiece of the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Titles, as well as a run with the now-defunct Divas title. Flair is also a two-time NXT Women’s Champion, but WWE do not class the NXT Titles as world championships.
