Plans for the WWE Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 41 could be set, according to a report from Fightful Select.

In wrestling, plans can always change, but the report claims that WWE's plan as of Bron Breakker's title defence against Finn Balor on last week's Raw was for Breakker to defend the Intercontinental Championship in a four-way at WrestleMania. The four-way will feature Penta, Finn Balor, and Dominik Mysterio as challengers.

The March 24 episode of Raw certainly seemed to support the report, with Breakker defending the Intercontinental Championship against Penta in the main event, only for the Judgment Day to interfere and attack the champ, causing a DQ finish. The heel stable also tried to side with Penta, who attacked them instead and was beaten down for his trouble.

Fightful Select's report also notes that some may have been surprised by the Breakker vs. Penta match taking place on Monday's show, given that many expected it to be a WrestleMania match.

Breakker is currently in his second reign with the IC title, having defeated Jey Uso on Raw in October 2024. He has successful defences over Sheamus, Ludwig Kaiser and Finn Balor.
