AEW star and former WWE talent Saraya has spoken about her current projects, including acting work and the promotion of her upcoming book Hell in Boots - but reveals that she doesn't feel as though wrestling needs her at the moment.

Speaking to Lightweights Podcast, Saraya revealed:

"I feel like at this age and time, there isn’t really a spot for me right now. I feel like everybody’s got their own thing. Eventually - I love wrestling, I will be back at work at some point - but, right now, it’s just good. They don’t need me."

Saraya is still signed with AEW, but last wrestled in a four-way match on October 8, 2024.

She made her debut appearance with the company at Grand Slam in September 2022, defeating Britt Baker in her first match at Full Gear, before going on to win the AEW Women's World Championship in Wembley Stadium at All In 2023.

As Paige in WWE, she was the inaugural NXT Women's Champion and a two-time Divas Champion on the main roster, but injury kept her in non-wrestling roles from December 2017 until her AEW debut.

Saraya recently revealed her pro wrestling career would be ending soon.
