Update On Daniel Bryan's "Career-Altering Announcement" On WWE SmackDown Live

NXT? 205 Live?

While Daniel Bryan might not have an official match booked for SummerSlam tomorrow night, it still could be a very interesting night for the former WWE Champion.

This week's SmackDown Live ended with Buddy Murphy claiming Rowan was the man behind the attacks on Roman Reigns. Somebody has tried to squash Roman with some scaffolding and hit him with a car over the past couple of weeks.

While this new storyline has the watching WWE Universe on the edge of their seats, it appears that WWE are just going to be forgetting about another intriguing angle that didn't reach its conclusion.

Over numerous weeks, it was announced by WWE themselves that Bryan would be making a "career-altering announcement."

Many pondered the possibility of The Planet's Champion going to NXT, maybe even to 205 Live... what we got instead was one SmackDown Live where Brayn came out onto the stage and began to talk before saying nothing and leaving, and other weeks where the announcement was promoted without actually making it to air.

Dave Meltzer has been discussing the angle on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio and said: “That’s been scrapped."

Oh well...
