Update On Dexter Lumis' WWE Absence

An update has been given on Dexter Lumis' ongoing absence from WWE TV.

Dexter Lumis' latest match came on May 29 this year, a victory over Akira Tozawa on a WWE Main Event taping. His last televised bout was a battle royal on Raw two weeks prior, but since then he hasn't been seen on any of WWE's main brands.

A potential reason for Lumis' inactivity has been given in a report by Fightful Select, which states:

"[Dexter Lumis] hasn’t wrestled a match since May. He’s not been on the show, and hasn’t been at many recent tapings. We’re told that he isn’t injured, and is good to go whenever WWE develops creative plans."

Lumis signed with WWE in 2019 and became a staple of the NXT brand, but was released in April 2022. He returned to the company a few months later and became a member of the Raw roster, but would occasionally make NXT appearances too.

Prior to his first appearances in WWE, Lumis competed in IMPACT Wrestling between 2010 and 2015 under his real name, Samuel Shaw.
