Update On If Jesse Ventura Is Still Planned For WWE Saturday Night's Main Event Following Hulk Hogan's Booking
Will Jesse Ventura work WWE Saturday Night's Main Event?
Jan 23, 2025
As of the January 13 episode of Monday Night Raw in San Jose, Jesse Ventura was still planned to work the upcoming edition of Saturday Night's Main Event on January 25.
There had been speculation that Ventura would not appear on the show as he has not been pushed as being a part of the broadcast on WWE TV, while Hulk Hogan has been featured prominently in promotion for the event and he is planned for SNME.
While the situation may have changed in the past 10 days, Ventura was scheduled to be on Saturday Night's Main Event, according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio.
"All I know is the last I heard, which was the day of San Jose, was he was on. He was told he's on all the shows in 2025. So if he's off it's a detail within the last week and a half. They didn't push him, but he was told he's on every show. It was definitely pointed out to me that him and Hogan are going to be on the same show," Meltzer said.
Hulk Hogan and Jesse Ventura have had issues for decades ever since Hulk Hogan snitched to Vince McMahon about Ventura's attempts to establish a pro wrestling union ahead of 1986's WrestleMania 2. Hogan had denied for years that he informed McMahon about Ventura's plans, only to finally admit it during the Mr. McMahon docuseries on Netflix.
Jesse Ventura signed a WWE Legends deal in 2024 and he appeared on the reboot of Saturday Night's Main Event in December, serving as a host and colour commentator. Hulk Hogan made his own return to WWE on the Raw Netflix Premiere after it was announced that the organisation had partnered with Hogan's Real American Beer, which saw WWE become part owners of the beer company. Hogan was booed out of the building during his appearance.
