Update On If WWE Could Return To Brand Specific PPVs

Will brand exclusive WWE PPVs be returning?

Although some talents still float between Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown, especially if they happen to hold the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships, WWE has looked to re-establish the brand split on the main roster in 2023, with the company even holding a WWE Draft in the weeks after WrestleMania 39.

WWE has often held brand-exclusive pay-per-views during their respective brand split eras, although this is not a practice they have utilised since March 2018. Fans should not expect brand-exclusive pay-per-views to return either, with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reporting that WWE are happy with the current situation.

"I heard from several in WWE across creative and higher up roles that said that they'd never heard of brand specific PLE shows broached, much less that Triple H shot it down. They've been happy with the current method, I'm told," Sean Ross Sapp tweeted.

This was seemingly in response to an earlier report from Better Wrestling Experience which claimed the return of SmackDown and Raw exclusive pay-per-views had been discussed but WWE Chief Content Officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque didn't like the idea.

WWE's next pay-per-view is scheduled to take place next week when Crown Jewel emanates from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Saturday, November 4.
