Following reports that WWE planned to use Jesse 'The Body' Ventura for the reboot of Saturday Night's Main Event, it has been revealed what the WWE Hall of Famer will likely be doing on the show.

Dave Meltzer has reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Ventura's role still needs to be finalised but the current plan is for Ventura to be involved in an interview segment or to announce a match. He will be a part of the show in some capacity for nostalgia purposes, though.

Jesse Ventura was an interviewer and announcer on the original run of WWE Saturday Night's Main Event in the 1980s. 'The Body' recently put pen to paper on a WWE Legends deal.

WWE will revive Saturday Night's Main Event on December 14 from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. The show is coming back as part of WWE's new domestic rights deal with NBCUniversal and SNME will air live on NBC and be simulcast on Peacock.

WWE are planning to present the show with a pay-per-view-calibre card and one match likely for Saturday Night's Main Event is reportedly Cody Rhodes vs. Kevin Owens for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
