There was an injury scare on Monday's episode of Raw from Belfast, Northern Ireland as the match between Je'Von Evans and El Grande Americano was suddenly stopped following a commercial break, with it being announced that Evans was no longer able to compete. Evans was then helped to the back by WWE referee Jessika Carr and a WWE doctor.
PWInsider reported following the match that WWE stopped Evans vs. Americano due to concern that Evans had suffered a possible concussion. Evans was checked out following the match and he was said to be okay, with Evans travelling with the roster following Raw. Amongst WWE officials, the belief was Jessika Carr made the right call in stopping the match.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer also reported that the belief was Evans was fine following Raw.
Je'Von Evans is a recent addition to the main roster, having been called up to Monday Night Raw after impressing on the December 13 edition of WWE Saturday Night's Main Event. Evans has been feuding with El Grande Americano since his main roster call-up, having already defeated Rayo Americano and Bravo Americano on December 22 and January 12.
