New All Elite Wrestling hire Josh Mathews has provided an update on his role in the promotion, with it being revealed that he is primarily involved with Ring of Honor.
Appearing in Maven Huffman's vlog from a recent AEW Collision taping, Mathews noted he is currently shadowing AEW Vice President and Co-Executive Producer Mike Mansury and working on production for Ring of Honor matches.
"Right now, shadowing Mike Mansury. So, I'll do the Ring of Honor matches before. Then I'll sit and watch Collision. Then I'll do the Ring of Honor matches after," Mathews said.
Josh Mathews was previously a part of TNA Wrestling for 11 years until his departure as part of a backstage reshuffle in February 2025. It emerged in April that Mathews was working backstage at AEW's Dynasty pay-per-view and it has since been noted that Mathews has served as a liaison between the core production team and coaches/producers.
Mathews has been working in pro wrestling for over 20 years, having first worked for WWE in various roles from 2002 until 2014 before he joined TNA. Mathews' wife Madison Rayne is a coach in All Elite Wrestling.
