Update On Lawsuit Against WWE Over 'Offensively Racist & Stereotypical' Scripts

A lawsuit filed against WWE and several individuals related to the company, including Vince McMahon, by a former writer for racial discrimination and wrongful termination has been dismissed without prejudice against all defendants with the exception of WWE. 

The dismissal without prejucide suggests former writer Britney Abrahams might be planning to refile or alter the lawsuit, potentially filing the case at another court. It is also possible that Abrahams and WWE are working on a settlement. Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics reached out to Derek Sells of The Cochran Firm, who is representing Abrahams, and he declined to comment on if the new filing meant the case was being settled.

Britney Abrahams filed a 31-page lawsuit against WWE, Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, Ryan Callahan, Christine Lubrano, Jen Pepperman, Chris Dunn, and Mike Heller back in April, alleging that she was discriminated against and fired for objecting to multiple instances of "offensively racist and stereotypical jargon" in WWE scripts. 

Some of the scripts detailed in the lawsuit included a pitch that would have seen Mansoor be revealed as the man responsible for the 9/11 attacks. Another pitch was for Shane Haste to hunt Reggie on TV and keep the former sommelier in a cage.
