Update On Marko Stunt's AEW Status Following Surprise Return

Latest on Marko Stunt following his AEW return

Over two years after his departure from All Elite Wrestling, Marko Stunt returned to the promotion on the July 6 edition of Collision as 'Mr Fun Size' was revealed to be Jack Perry's surprise challenger for the TNT Championship.

Stunt made his way to the ring to Jurassic Express' theme music and he initially enjoyed some offence until Perry launched his former stablemate into the middle turnbuckle. The TNT Champion controlled the action after the move and picked up the win after just over three minutes to record the successful title defence.

Stunt hasn't appeared on AEW TV since July 6 and Sean Ross Sapp reported on a Fightful Select Q&A that the 27-year-old's appearance was simply a one-off.

"It was a one-off appearance but he was welcomed back," Sean Ross Sapp said.

Marko Stunt was previously a part of AEW from 2019 until his contract expired in May 2022. It emerged at the time that AEW decided not to renew Stunt's contract due to a large roster and plans changing for Jurassic Express.

Stunt has only had a handful of matches since exiting All Elite Wrestling and his Collision debut was the first time Stunt had wrestled since January 2023.
