Arguably the most influential tag team of a generation, the Motor City Machine Guns are now also the most sought after tag team in wrestling, after the duo of Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley departed TNA Wrestling in April.

Earlier this week, Shelley took to Instagram to salute the independent scene and stating he may have had his last match for Beyond Wrestling for a while, whilst WWE Tag Team Champion Tommaso Ciampa posted a pic of the Guns on his IG story, prompting fans online to believe the former TNA World Tag Team Champions had reached a deal with WWE.

Fightful Select has stated that the MCMG have indeed been in discussions with major companies, but could not comment on whether the team have signed deals anywhere or not.

Reports in April suggested that Shelley and Sabin were close to signing with All Elite Wrestling, with the duo having previously wrestled one match for the company. However, as we have seen with numerous free agents in 2024, nothing is confirmed until you see them officially promoted by a major company, or appearing in their ring.
