Update On Red Velvet Amid AEW Absence

Where has Red Velvet been of late?

A new report has provided an update on the whereabouts of AEW star Red Velvet.

According to Fightful Select, she has been sidelined with an injury for much of this past year. The nature of the injury was not specified, nor how much longer she will be out of action for.

Velvet last wrestled on the February 1 edition of AEW Dynamite, where she lost to then-TBS Champion Jade Cargill.

Prior to that, the 32-year-old had been a member of Cargill's stable The Baddies, along with Kiera Hogan. Cargill has since left AEW and signed with WWE.

Red Velvet debuted in 2016 and first wrestled for AEW in June of 2020. After predominantly working matches for YouTube shows Dark and Dark: Elevation, she officially signed with Tony Khan's promotion in March 2021.

In her most high-profile outing, she teamed with Cody Rhodes in a loss to Cargill and Shaquille O'Neal.

Last year, Velvet noted that she had received training from Cody, Dustin Rhodes and Bryan Danielson.
