Legendary luchador Mistico has been credited with shifting extra tickets ahead of last night's combined AEW Dynamite/Rampage taping from Rosenberg, Texas.

The final attendance for the taping was 4,457, according to Twitter account WrestleTix, who noted a significant increase in tickets sold within the past week. During their last update (on October 11) only 2,462 tickets had been distributed.

Chiming in, the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer said that well over 2,100 tickets had moved since the announcement of Mistico. He added that, while some of it is due to lowering ticket prices, Mistico's AEW debut and the show taking place in the Houston area were significant factors.

Mistico wrestled Rocky Romero in a two-out-of-three-falls match, which was taped for the October 20 episode of Rampage. AEW were reportedly planning on a unique presentation for the bout.

AEW co-owner Tony Khan has long been a fan of the 40-year-old masked man and was actually in the arena to see his WWE debut (as the original Sin Cara).
