Wardlow has spoken after an injury scare during his match with Komander on the January 31 episode of All Elite Wrestling Dynamite.

The Undisputed Kingdom heavy hitter was visibly selling his knee throughout the match, but the joint looked to legitimately buckle during a match ending powerbomb on Komander, with Wardlow seen to mouth the word ‘f***’ and slap the ring steps in frustration after the match finished.

Taking to X/Twitter after the match, Wardlow indicated that he’s fine:

"A normal man’s knee would be ruined. I’m no normal man. I’m still coming for the heavyweight title. And there’s nothing and no one that can stop me. Knee is just fine #AEWDynamite," posted Wardlow.

Wardlow might not be fine, though, and Bryan Alvarez reported on Wrestling Observer Radio there are fears he sustained a torn meniscus on Dynamite.

"Wardlow says he is fine. I have been told that it's not fine. What I was told was is that he's getting checked out tomorrow, They think it's possible a torn meniscus but that he dodged a bullet and it wasn't much worse and he'll probably be alright, but he definitely is not fine," Alvarez said.

Wardlow is currently on a path towards the AEW World Championship, with Undisputed Kingdom leader Adam Cole expecting Wardlow to not only win the belt, but to surrender it to him a la Andre the Giant and Ted DiBiase.

Since returning to action in October 2023, Wardlow is currently undefeated in singles competition, with an 8-0 record coinciding with the return of the AEW rankings.
