A new report has provided an update on AEW star Wardlow amid his long-term absence.
Fightful Select noted that the former AEW TNT Champion has been spotted in Los Angeles of late and was backstage at last night's Revolution pay-per-view, which emanated from the Crypto.com Arena in LA. The 37-year-old has not been in the City of Angels for wrestling reasons, however, but for work on another project.
He last wrestled on the March 13, 2024 Big Business edition of Dynamite, where he lost to then-AEW World Champion Samoa Joe via referee's decision.
Fightful's report added that while there have been a lot of narratives about Wardlow not being used, every time they have asked about his status they have been told that he is recovering from an injury. There are currently no details on when he may return from his knee injury.
Wardlow has promised to get back to the level of popularity he enjoyed at Double or Nothing 2022 when he does return to AEW television.
