Update On Why Drew McIntyre Stormed Out Of WWE Survivor Series

Why was Drew McIntyre so upset at Survivor Series?

A new report has shed some light on why Drew McIntyre stormed out of the Allstate Arena following Survivor Series.

Fightful Select reported that the Scottish Warrior was legitimately upset after the men's WarGames main event match, but it was related to things broader than the return of CM Punk. The report did note that both Drew and Seth Rollins were visibly upset when they were being clued in regarding Punk's impending appearance, with the competitors in the main event pulled to one side just before their match began.

While McIntyre hay have been in a hurry to leave the building, he did work a non-televised live event in Peoria, Illinois the following evening. McIntyre wrestled in the show's main event, battling Seth Rollins and Shinsuke Nakamura in a triple threat match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Prior to the match, a video promo from Drew aired for the live crowd. In it, he said that he wasn't in a good place due to his team's loss in the men's WarGames match at Survivor Series, adding "you've heard things about me on the internet".

The promo was apparently babyface in tone, with the 38-year-old declaring there was no better place for him to win the title than "right here in Peoria!"
