Bryan Danielson's In-Ring AEW Return Date Revealed

Bryan Danielson is set to return to an AEW ring.

AEW star Bryan Danielson's return to in-ring action has been confirmed.

It was announced on this past weekend's episode of Collision that The American Dragon would compete on the December 2 edition of the show. Danielson will take on Eddie Kingston in his first outing in the Continental Classic tournament, with Kingston looking to return to winning ways after a tournament loss to Brody King on this past Saturday's show.

Danielson and Kingston have clashed once already in AEW in singles competition (on the October 27, 2021 episode of Dynamite). Danielson picked up the victory via referee stoppage in a World Title Eliminator Tournament semi-final bout.

The 42-year-old has been on the shelf since suffering a broken orbital bone during his Collision match with Andrade El Idolo on October 21. Danielson subsequently wrestled in a tag match on the October 25 Dynamite, and was written off TV by Kazuchika Okada.

The former WWE Champion is winding down his active in-ring career, with 2023 widely believed to be his final year working a full-time schedule. Danielson's wife Brie Garcia noted how she believes her husband's unfortunate recent run with injuries is his body's way of telling him to 'hang up the boots'.
