Update On WWE NXT Women's Tag Team Titles

What next for the WWE NXT Women's Tag Team Titles?

A new WWE NXT Women's Tag Team Champion will need to be crowned.

In an update following Tuesday's episode of NXT, Cora Jade is no longer listed as one-half of the NXT Women's Tag Team Champions on WWE.com and her spot is now vacant. Roxanne Perez is still an NXT Women's Tag Team Champion.

Perez and Jade only won the belts a couple of weeks ago when they defeated Toxic Attraction's Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne at the Great American Bash. Cora Jade then turned on her tag team partner on July 12, though, citing that their friendship was a lie because the former Rok-C opted to pursue Mandy Rose's NXT Women's Championship only minutes after they had won the tag titles.

Perez was absent from this week's edition of NXT but Jade was on the show and she ended a segment by dropping her NXT Women's Tag Team Title belt in a trash can, calling back to Madusa's infamous moment from the Monday Night Wars.

How WWE will find a new champion has not been revealed as of yet but Perez previously teamed with Wendy Choo, so she is someone the former ROH Women's World Champion could decide to turn to.
