Update On WWE Plans For AJ Styles

AJ Styles hasn’t been seen on WWE programming since all the way back at the Clash At Castle 2024 premium live event when he lost to Cody Rhodes in his second pursuit of the Undisputed WWE Championship. Styles would go on to then face Naomichi Marufuji in Pro Wrestling NOAH, but has not since returned to WWE TV, though he did compete on several live events late last month.

When it comes to his upcoming WWE plans, Styles was supposed to be at this week’s August 9 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, but of course he did not end up appearing and was not in attendance either. PWInsider has revealed why his return did not take place, and also when to expect him to be back.

It is stated in the report that Styles is scheduled to be back involved in WWE storylines before the August 31 Bash In Berlin premium live event, but WWE made the call that Styles did not figure into what was a busy episode of SmackDown. However, Styles is slated to be back on WWE TV “shortly”.
