Yuya Uemura has revealed he is fine following a "scary situation" at IMPACT Wrestling's TV taping on Saturday, February 25 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Uemura faced Sami Callihan at the taping but the match was stopped early after the Japanese talent landed on his head following a Powerbomb. Uemura then received medical attention before being taken backstage.
Addressing the situation, Uemura tweeted: "I'm good. I will revenge Sami soon! Look out for IMPACT's Yuya Uemura from now on!"
PWInsider reported that the match will not air on TV and will likely be replaced by Rhino vs. Sami Callihan, which was also taped over the weekend.
Uemura also detailed on Instagram his struggles in IMPACT Wrestling since debuting in the promotion last year. He wrote:
"IMPACT in Las Vegas. This time it's a three-day series, with the PPV on the first day and tapings on the remaining two days. Often I don't know if my match is on or not until I arrive at the venue. This time it was like that too, and when I arrived at the venue, my name was not there. It brings back memories of last October, when I arrived thinking it was a given that I would have a match, but there was no match and I was quite depressed.
"On the second day, despite being set up for a match, I was knocked out by a powerbomb from my opponent. And I had to miss the match on the third day as well. I felt blue that I couldn't even make use of the opportunities I was given, but I guess there's no time to be depressed. Everyone is so kind.
"I'm not wrestling in the US with the intention of going back to Japan. Let's relax a bit. This photo of sushi was taken when I went out to eat with KUSHIDA. Such good sushi, all you can eat for $30!
"I will not go back to Japan."
