After sensationally ‘quitting’ All Elite Wrestling on March 1 after refusing to take part in the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match on Dynamite, Eddie Kingston has landed in Ring of Honor, and has made a beeline for the ROH World Championship.

On the debut episode of the relaunched ROH TV, ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli successfully defended his title against AR Fox in the show’s main event. As Claudio celebrated, Kingston made his entrance and told Claudio that whilst he promised Jon Moxley he wouldn’t fight Claudio in AEW, this was ROH not AEW, and he’s coming for him and his title.

Tensions between the two men have simmered since Claudio made his AEW debut at Forbidden Door in June 2022, and despite seemingly putting their issues behind them during a war against Chris Jericho and the Jericho Appreciation Society, it seems that old wounds run deep.

Long-time fans will know that Kingston and Claudio have had issues way back since their days in defunct indie promotion CHIKARA, but before they could settle things in the ring Claudio was signed by WWE.

No date has been set for Kingston vs. Castagnoli, but with ROH Supercard of Honor set for March 31, it seems a safe bet to say the match will take place then.
