Update On Finn Balor Not Appearing At The WWE Royal Rumble
The Raw brand star was noticeably absent
Finn Balor was not a part of the 2022 men's Royal Rumble match, despite appearing on WWE Raw over the preceding weeks.
According to an update from WrestleVotes, Balor is not currently in the United States, though is expected to be back for WrestleMania season.
WrestleVotes writes, "Confirmed with a source that Finn Balor is not injured in anyway, he is out of the country however. WWE expects him back in plenty of time for WrestleMania."
Balor last wrestled on the January 17 episode of Raw, where he lost to Austin Theory.
On Sunday, Balor tweeted a photo of himself with his wife outside The Temple Bar in Dublin.
Speaking with Mark Andrews of NXT UK, Balor spoke of changes in travel keeping him in the United States over the past couple years, saying, "I’ve been stuck in America for the past two years with Covid kind of heightening the feeling of isolation. In WWE and like in that bubble, like away from my friends and family, so there was kind of multiple reasons why I wanted to go to NXT UK."
