Velveteen Dream Involved In Car Accident, Released From Hospital

Further details are not known...

NXT performer Velveteen Dream was involved in a recent car accident and released from the hospital on Friday, June 26, according to a report from Fightful (and later corroborated by Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter).

No further details on the accident are known at press time.

The news surfaces at the same time Dream's name has come up as part of the ongoing Speaking Out movement. He had previously been accused of inappropriate conduct on social media in April, to which he responded, "Be assured I did not communicate inappropriately with anyone. A private photo of mine was shared without my consent or knowledge and I am working with a third party to look into this matter."

However, several new misconduct allegations have been levied against Dream in the wake of Speaking Out. Neither Dream nor WWE have commented on the newer matters.

Dream's most recent match aired during NXT TakeOver: In Your House, in which he lost to NXT champion Adam Cole in a cinematically-filmed "Backlot Brawl". His last match on a weekly NXT broadcast took place on April 29.
